Summary: Central Training Coordinator for all HS Employees. Design and conduct training activities, analyze training needs, and apply improvement initiatives to enhance individual and organizational performance. Work with both Human Resources and Production to ensure adequate training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing and maintaining an effective learning management system. Develop training material, instructional design, and tools to ensure effective knowledge transfer processes. Other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure all employees are properly trained throughout the facilities which includes reviewing all OJT, Work Contract performance, and helping to assess and improve training. This is the key player to help coordinate when performance metrics are not being met in initial stages of employment and throughout an employee's lifecycle at Harrison Steel.
- Deliver a variety of training to site population, support department needs, and coordinate with department managers to ensure employee compliance with regulatory requirements. Design and deliver science behind process learning content to support organizational knowledge capability.
- Active participation in operational area meetings to ensure adherence of training strategies.
- Coordinating and planning all employee training including continuous improvement, recertifications, and policy instructions.
- Design and deliver new hire training to ensure an effective onboarding process.
- Communicate to department managers employee learning needs to ensure curriculum adherence in a timely manner.
- Identify vulnerabilities within the operational tasks to identify improvement initiative and improve human performance.
- Develop and deliver trainer activities for employee certification.
- Develop evaluation methods to measure training effectiveness. Support data entry process to ensure accuracy of training records.
- Maintain technical training records of all personnel
- Work with Subject Matter Experts / Trainers of each department to assess needs of the department and follow the first 30/60/90 days of employee tenure.
- Be involved in creating SOP's or various Training Manuals, both from a high level down to job specific
- Collaborate with line teams to develop and review On-the-Job Training (OJT) deliverables, content, and assessment requirements to ensure quality and maintain consistency.
- Assist with various HR activities in times of need
Significant Work Activities
- Continuous sitting, standing, walking, for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day) is required.
- Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Associates Degree with established experience
- Manufacturing Experience Preferred
- Familiar with Microsoft office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, and Automated systems.
- Experience in preparing and developing presentations is preferred
- Must be able to write effective communications, procedures, and training modules.
- Excellent interpersonal relationships and capable of leading teams.
- Capable of working with multiple tasks.
- Basic Knowledge of corporate, local, state and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed
- Spanish preferred
