Our client, a top-tier international law firm with over 100 years of history and consistent AmLaw 100 rankings, seeks a Corporate Associate to join their distinguished Private Equity and Venture Capital practice in New York.

The ideal Corporate & Transactional Associate candidate will have:

• 3-6 years of experience in private company M&A, venture capital, and debt finance
• Private equity transaction experience preferred
• NY Bar admission (or eligibility for 2023 reciprocity)
• Strong academic credentials from a leading law school

Role Overview: Join a dynamic team handling sophisticated private equity and M&A transactions for an impressive client roster including Fortune 500 companies and leading PE firms. The practice has experienced significant growth, with multiple billion-dollar deals completed in the past year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex transaction documentation and negotiations
• Manage deal closings independently
• Provide strategic counsel to sophisticated clients
• Supervise junior associates and coordinate deal teams

Compensation:

• Base: $240,000 - $320,000 (based on experience)
• Full market-competitive benefits
• Billable targets: 1850 or 1950 hours annually
