Your work helps foster financial security for countless individuals, shaping their futures and contributing to the growth of the business.Role Overview:The Corporate Vice President, African American Market Development Lead is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of programs aimed at growing the Company's market share within the African American market segments. The Market Development Lead is responsible for the company's expansion in the African American market, which includes leading a team of dedicated professionals throughout the country, working with business partners at the national and local levels to effectively target and grow our position within the segment(s).What You'll Do:Work with Senior Management in the development of vision, strategy, modeling, and projections for the African American Market strategic initiative which is aimed at generating incremental growth in KLIs and KPIs in this market.Develop and implement programs, tactics, and initiatives geared to help Managers and General Offices position themselves in the African American market and achieve consistent KPI growth.Lead a team of resources across the country who are responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the business plan(s).Build and implement tracking, accountability, and performance systems to ensure employee productivity and professional development.Effectively lead, manage, and coach managers and employees to consistently achieve high levels of productivity and accountability.Work closely with Senior Management and with counterparts to develop Field programs that benefit our growth across market segments.Work with our Cultural Marketing group to oversee the creation and deployment of culturally sensitive sales and recruiting materials for Agent and Manager use.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.Required licenses: Series 6 and 63.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Must be a proven Field leader with sales and sales management experience, knowledge of the career agency system, and experience leading in a production environment.Requires thorough knowledge of Life Insurance sales and recruiting/sales management systems, specifically of the career agency model.Must understand sales cycle and sales strategies in the Agency environment.Must have a thorough understanding of the marketing, prospecting, and recruiting techniques necessary to penetrate / grow market segments.Must understand the critical factors of Agent recruiting, retention, manpower, and Field leadership to drive consistent growth and appropriate focus on leading indicators.Individual must be a proven leader with direct management experience, including management of other managers and leading complex and remote organizations.Must be able to identify, analyze, and solve complex business and people challenges.Must be an effective communicator and influencer.Pay TransparencySalary Range: $137,500 - $200,000Discretionary bonus eligible: YesActual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
