This is an entry-level technical and professional position involving analyzing documents, assisting customers with inquiries and routine day-to-day functions of the Business Services Division.

Job Functions and General Responsibilities:

* Providing excellent customer service in the Business Services Division by reviewing, receiving, and processing various business entity filings or commissions' filings.

* Utilizing and applying several different chapters of Missouri statutes as related to filings.

* Using a computer and software including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Business Services specific filing software applications.

* Answering telephone inquiries and assisting walk-in customers.

* Providing technical support for online business filers with demonstrated knowledge of various internet web browsers.

* Interacting with state employees, state officials, and the general public.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Excellent organization, self-motivation, and work prioritization skills.

* Excellent oral and written communications skills.

* Thorough knowledge of Missouri law as it relates to the assigned work group.

* Ability to follow directions and understand basic principles for legal service.

* Work independently with outstanding attendance, timeliness, and professionalism.

* Ability to pay attention to details and complete work tasks in a moderately stressful environment.

Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent is required, some college preferred.

* General computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs.

* Experience in customer service or working with the public preferred.

* Experience working in a fast-paced government office or organization preferred.
