Reporting to the Correctional Captain II, this position is responsible for the supervision of subordinate staff. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:* Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments, and inspecting all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post.* Completing, reviewing, and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms.* Accounting for persons, funds, and ensuring that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.* Assisting with personnel actions, administrative affairs, officers' work schedules, and coordinating activities involving discipline, security, and the welfare of the offender population.* Identifying training needs and coordinating delivery of training to subordinate staff. This is a full-time position working rotating shifts with State Benefits. This is an anticipated vacancy. About Harnett Correctional Institution:Harnett Correctional Institution is located in Lillington, North Carolina and houses up to 988 male offenders in a medium custody facility. Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 19,000 employees.
