These positions are located throughout the state and provide a competitive salary range for qualified applicants.The Corrections Canine Assistant Handler is a full-time position within the Canine Division of the Alabama Department of Corrections. This position consists of specialized work assisting in the training, caring for and handling of dogs used to track and apprehend escaped prisoners or detect drugs. - High School Diploma or GED
- Eighteen (18) months of experience as a police officer or correctional officer in a law enforcement, regulatory, or correctional setting.
