This increase will be limited to a maximum of a three (3) step increase.Sworn, full-time service with another corrections agency or service in the United States Military in a corrections capacity.4 years of priorservice: $59,0008 years of priorservice: $60,00012+ years of priorservice: $61,000Primary PurposeThe Corrections Deputy is a sworn position that is responsible for providing care, custody, and control of male, female, and juvenile offenders housed within the St. Johns County Detention Center. This position is responsible for responding to the needs of offenders while ensuring a safe and secure environment for inmates, citizens, and other employees in accordance with the agency policy, Florida Model Jail Standards, and the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission. Corrections Deputies must demonstrate professionalism and superior customer service for citizens and visitors. Within the agency, a Corrections Deputy may work a number of assignments.
