Do not miss this opportunity to experience the satisfaction of public service!DESCRIPTION OF WORKYou will serve as a lead worker by assigning, participating in, and reviewing routine and specialized food service work performed by inmates in the areas of pre-preparation, production, service, and baking. You will ensure proper control over inmates by enforcing custody and security regulations and inspect all food service areas, equipment, and food for conformance with established safety and sanitation standards.Join the DOC in their mission to reduce criminal behavior by providing individualized treatment and education to offenders, resulting in successful community reintegration through accountability and positive change.Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description ( .Work Schedule and Additional Information:+ Full-time employment, 40-hours per week+ Work hours will be determined at the time of hire and could be 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM or 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with rotating days off.+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $ 46,986 (before taxes).+ This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.+ You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
