Position SummaryThis position serves as lead worker in the Food Service Department for Corrections Food Service Leader 2 (CFSL2) staff and Persons in Our Care (PIOC). The duties include training and directing staff, maintaining inventories, preparing production sheets, adjusting menus and menu items as needed and ensuring proper food safety and sanitation practices are employed. This position also cares for and cleans kitchen equipment and maintains proper sanitation standards. This position may work up to 14 hours per day and more than 40 hours per week on any shift based on daily operational needs, this may include weekends and holidays.Working conditions: Food service workers will work in a commercial-style kitchen in close proximity to other staff and PIOC workers. This position will frequently lift and carry objects of up to 50lbs and need to be able to sit and stand and may climb ladders or stairs. This position must also comply with the center's health policies, including those regarding Tuberculosis Screening and Hepatitis Vaccination.Salary InformationThis position is in pay schedule and range 03-13 with a starting pay of $23.24/hour. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. Positions can anticipate working every other weekend. Specifics can be discussed at time of interview.This position is FLSA Non-Exempt.
