Corrections Policy and Doctrine Support SME - Law Enforcement, Corrections and Investigations Branch, Marine Corps Installations Command, Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics
Location: Naval Support Facility, Arlington, VA. Contractor may telework outside of the geographical area, however, must be available to provide direct support and travel into the office with a 48-hour notice.

Education: Bachelor in any field
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist Corrections in providing Marine Corps-wide corrections policy support including, but not limited to, Marine Corps Orders, naval messages, USMC Inspector General Checklists, other directives/regulations, correspondence development, revision, staffing, review and coordination. This includes drafting positions on orders/directives at levels above USMC (SECNAV, DoD)
* Assist Corrections in providing Marine Corps battlefield doctrine development including, but not limited to, coordination, revision, review and development of new and existing doctrine
* Assist Law Enforcement, Corrections and Investigations Branch, Marine Corps Installations Command, Deputy Commandant, Installations and Logistics, Headquarters Marine Corps in providing Marine Corps-wide law enforcement and security policy support including, but not limited to, Marine Corps Orders (MCO), naval messages, point papers, and other directives/regulations and policy letter development, revision, staffing, review and coordination. This includes drafting positions on orders/directives at levels above USMC (SECNAV, DoD)
* Assist Corrections in the development of Marine Corps future concepts, campaign plans and other special projects as required
* Provide policy and doctrine contractor support for Corrections
* Provide Corrections daily support with Task Management within the section
* Assist Corrections with preparing and submitting the weekly Situational Report (SITREP)
* Assist Corrections with preparing and submitting the weekly Leader Notes.
* Assist Corrections with reviewing the service task management system on a daily basis to determine equities in tasks
* Assist Corrections in preparing all required annual corrections related reports
* Assist Corrections in adjudicating current year goals and objectives and development of next Fiscal Year (FY) goals and objectives
* Assist Corrections by consolidating agenda for and coordinating quarterly USMC Corrections Community conference calls
* Assist Corrections in preparing service task management tasks for release and in adjudicating incoming responses to tasks
* Assist Corrections by ensuring all information published on the Corrections website is accurate and if not, communicate that to the Government POC
* Contractor must be familiar with the following documents:

* Carry out other tasks as requested and assigned by the corporation, in time and manner. Likewise, the employee must adhere to and abide by what is established in the policies, regulations, codes, and provisions of the company. For example: To Download and install of apps needed, to take on-line training, etc.
* The Contractor shall provide on-site Corrections subject matter expertise (SME) in support of the Marine Corps Corrections Program. Contractor may telework outside of the geographical area, however, must be available to provide direct support and travel into the office with a 48-hour notice.
REQUIRED:
* A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in DoD Corrections
PREFERRED:
* Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or Corrections Administration
* Achievement of DOD Level Corrections Academy (advance courses); or, Correctional Counselor Course; and Project Management experience
* Correspondence development
* Applicable correction related certifications from the American Jail Association or American Correctional Association
* Successful candidate will have experience in Policy Writing
