THE POSITION
The State Correctional Institution at SCI Dallas, under the Department of Corrections, is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Corrections Stock Clerk to become a part of our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Department of Corrections, you will handle the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies in the inmate garment and mattress industry.
You will be responsible for inventorying stock and receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and raw materials. You will be training and monitoring inmate workers in the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory control activities for a variety of stock items and supplies. You will be preparing routine reports and operating motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, remove scrap materials, or make deliveries.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
+ Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
+ This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
+ Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
