Incumbent also assists in the establishing of product routings, costs and variance analysis. Coordinates inventory related activities with Inventory Control, including cycle count activities, and help ensure overall inventory accuracy. Ensures SOX related activities are conducted according to documentation, helps coordinate changes as required, and works with PTS and corporate as required in the review and testing of SOX related processes. Works with internal and external auditors as required. II. Specific Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in month-end closing, preparing journal entries in areas such as inventory related adjustments and write-offs, reserves analysis, reconciliations, and data collection and preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting Utilizing current or future ERP applications, automate creation of the monthly and quarterly reporting packages to ensure timeliness and accuracy, providing direct download capabilities where possible to eliminate redundant data entry; also use extraction capabilities to perform ad-hoc projects and analysis Assist in establishment of product routings, review of current routings and BOMs for accuracy, special costing projects, and provide management with accurate and timely reports. Collect, analyze and report on product variances generated to operations and plant management; provide explanations as to cause and effect of variances, or point out if BOM or routings issue, or planned deviations such as alternative work center utilization Coordinate inventory related activities with management and Inventory Control, including analysis, reporting, cycle count activities (such as blind counts); inventory adjustment needs; and help ensure overall inventory accuracy Ensure SOX related activities are conducted as documented, help coordinate changes as required, and work with PTS and corporate as required in the review and testing of SOX related processes; this includes working with both internal and external auditors Other duties as assigned, such as analyzing past and present financial results and estimating future revenues and expenditures for budget or forecast work III. Essential Skills and Experience: Education or Equivalent: (Minimum required to perform job) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a directly related field; 5 years General Accounting/Costing experience in a manufacturing environment
