Cost Controller - Decarbonization Projects

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Controller to oversee cost management and financial control for our clients decarbonization projects in Corpus Christi, TX. This role is crucial in ensuring the financial success of these projects.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Planning and Budgeting: Develop detailed project budgets, including cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Cost Tracking and Forecasting: Monitor project costs and identify variances from the budget.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including cost reports, budget vs. actual reports, and variance analysis.
- Change Order Management: Review and analyze change orders for their impact on project costs.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate cost risks, such as supply chain disruptions and unforeseen expenses.
- Contract Management: Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Audits and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cost control or project finance, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
