Job Posting Title Cost Estimating Co-Op Job Description Summary The Cost Estimating Co-Op provides critical support for the cost requesting organization. The position will collaborate on crafting business cases, pricing strategies, and program management activities. Job Description AAM is a world leader in the manufacture, engineering, validation and design of driveline systems, chassis systems and forged products for trucks, buses, sport utility vehicles and passenger cars. Currently, this Tier 1 automotive components supplier needs a talented individual to fill the role of Cost Estimating Co-op at our World Headquarters location in Detroit, MI. Responsibilities: • Coordinates business case preparation. • Assists with developing pricing proposals and strategies. • Facilitates program management activity. • Tracks purchase/tool orders. • Responsible for initiating and/or creating cost requests within the cost request system. • Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Education Position Requirements: • Must be enrolled at a College or University • Must be pursuing a degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering. • Graduation date of December 2025 or later preferred. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must have knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word • Detail oriented, able to multitask and prioritize workload • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Able to maintain confidential information • Must be interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry • Must be available to work 40 hours/week About AAM: As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
