Location: Holland,MI, USA
POSITION:
The Cost Estimator will be responsible for the development of accurate product costs through interaction with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams. This role will also be responsible for business case analysis and providing feedback to the leadership team to ensure that corporate objectives are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Key support to the Business Development team with costing of new business opportunities
* Develop product costs through interaction with functional teams
* Evaluate internal assumptions regarding manufacturing, engineering, and materials
* Support capital planning through capacity and utilization verification
* Support annual costing rate development process
* Educate the organization on product cost and effective drivers to optimize total costs
* Support purchasing in Make/Buy analysis
* Develop in-depth knowledge of manufacturing capabilities through best business practices
* Create executive-level presentations to communicate financial results and strategic recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors
* Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, reporting tools, and analytical techniques to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness
* Support budgeting and forecasting functions
* Ability to travel 20% - domestic and international
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
* 5+ years of related financial analysis experience
* 5-7 years of manufacturing experience
* Strong background in Finance or Supply Chain
* Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Authentic curiosity, proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
* Prior automotive experience preferred
