The successful candidate will function in a lead role in the management and execution of cost estimating task orders with Pro2Serve clients in the federal market.

Job Description

The candidate should have experience providing cost estimating, cost engineering, and related services, plus business background in the federal sector, preferably with the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Department of Energy, and other federal agencies. Successful candidates should have senior (or Staff/ Junior[DB1] [MC2] ) level skills and experience in several of the following categories:

* Material Take Off

* Cost Estimating

* Cost Engineering

* Cost Analysis

* Project Management/Leadership

* Planning and Scheduling

* Cost Management Consulting

Project management - leadership and management of project teams.

Management and development of technical work products (cost estimates and related products).

Establish and maintain client relationships.

Develop and edit technical reports.

Provide status reports and operational briefs to clients and corporate management.

Discuss project requirements and procedures with management, production, and marketing staff.

Coordinate and direct projects, evaluate and oversee resources.

Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making procurement decisions.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering disciplines, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fields with 10+ years of experience in the Cost Engineering/Cost Estimating role.

* Minimum 15+ years' experience in the architecture and engineering (A&E) or construction industry

* Certification(s) from AACE International, PMI, CMAA or similar organizations a plus

* 15+ years' experience with U.S. Government clients, preferably in a Sr. Cost Estimating role

* Extensive Knowledge of cost estimating methods, Command of drawing package reviews and takeoffs, construction methods, and related experience

* Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

* Knowledge and ability to use cost estimating software such as: MII, PACES, SUCCESS, SAGE/Timberline

* Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

* Demonstrated people management, performance management, and operations experience

Preferred Experience

* Existing contacts within U.S. Federal Government based A/E/C community

* Overseas Experience on USG Projects

* Experience with civil works, infrastructure, environmental, vertical, and environmental projects for USACE, DOE, and other federal agencies.

* Perform detail cost estimates in a multi-Engineering discipline, Civil, Electrical/Controls, Mechanical, Process Equipment, other Engineering Fields.

* Business development experience

* Holds or ability can obtain a security clearance

* Overseas Experience with U.S. based corporations

Federal Government Clearance:

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
