Our client is a leading heavy civil contractor based in New York City, renowned for delivering complex infrastructure projects. With a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability, they are looking for a dedicated Field Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Your New Role

  • Lead all job costing responsibilities and activities across all different projects.
  • Weekly Labor Production
  • Assist with new Internal Change Orders (ICO) or Potential Change Orders (PCO) phase codes with projects
  • Set controls and budgets to mitigate risk and increase profitability on jobs.
  • Review costs allocations.
  • Carry out an earned value analysis of the project on a periodic basis.
  • Run cost deviation analysis.
  • Standardize and maintain a system of quantities and cost tracking records and techniques.
  • Conduct internal audits to job performance status.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cost reports for submission to management.
  • Provide cost information on value engineering analysis.
  • Perform the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of our accounting system. Review and issues cost reports to the construction team.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years relevant Construction industry experience.
  • Previous experience in cost control management or other related fields.
  • Fundamental knowledge of job costing software preferable Viewpoint (Vista)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Advanced use of Excel to generate and update reporting tools.
  • Prior Management experience.
