Hiring Department: Vice President of Business Affairs

Hours: 40 hours per week, standard Monday- Friday 8:00am- 5:00pm
FLSA status: Exempt
Earliest Start Date: As soon as possible.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Purpose of Position
Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare adjusting entries, reconciliation's, and financial reports.
Essential Functions
Meets with campus constituents to gather financial information related to goods and services provided.
Determines proper handling of financial transactions; monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and University policy and procedures.
Assists in developing rates for recharge centers and auxiliary units.
Compiles financial data to create profit and loss analysis.
Prepares and completes internal audits of recharge centers.
Prepares budget requests.
Performs statistical analysis.
Gathers and compiles cost information and maintains information concerning expenses.
Develops systems and procedures for accumulation systems and/or cost accounting functions.
Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
Prepares reports that summarize and interpret current and projected financial position for management.
Reviews contracts, orders, and vouchers and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions.
Reviews proper handling of financial transactions.
Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and University policy and procedures.
Assists with various special projects as needed.
Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
Complies with state and university policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics is typically required or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience required: One year of related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Proficient in basic excel skills (V-Lookup function), data collection and analysis tools.
Be detail-oriented, knowledgeable in statistics and have strong problem solving skills.
Able to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
