Full job description

Allegianth Helathcare/Desert Springs Healthcare therapy department is growing. We are searching for a qualified certified occupation therapy assistant (COTA). If you are a team player, like working in a good environment, and like helping people then apply here.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist

- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions

- Document patient progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

- Collaborate with the occupational therapy team to develop and modify treatment plans based on patient needs

- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs

- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising occupational therapist

Qualifications:

- Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program

- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

- Experience or knowledge in occupational health, long term care

- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge

- Familiarity with medical imaging and diagnostic procedures is a plus

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
