POSITION SUMMARY:
Counsel position is within Marathons Law Operations group, the in-house legal team responsible for supporting the day-to-day procurement and supply chain needs for the Company. This position will be focused on providing legal advice and guidance for Marathons midstream assets, with a focus on material and service procurement. The Counsel will also assist with transactional matters related to storage services and transportation of crude and refined products by pipeline, truck, rail, barge. Being a member of the Law Operations group provides opportunities to practice in multiple substantive legal areas with a primary focus on contract negotiation and drafting, risk mitigation, counseling, regulatory compliance, and incident response. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment and collaborating with Law Operations colleagues to support legal matters across the Companys global operations.
