Borough of Manhattan Community College's Counseling Center is looking for a College Assistant to join our team to help in person clerical responsibilities.
Applicants should be available to be on campus working in-person for all 20 hours. Start date December 2nd, 2024.
Duties include:
Navigating an online platform that hosts confidential student documentsWorking closely with students through email and phone to help them file the Provide students with specific and general information pertaining to the Counseling Center and other college services.Schedule appointments for students in person/remoteOrganize, maintain, and secure student records and files.Work closely with support staff to complete clerical tasksHelp staff and counselors with any part of the online application processOther clerical responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Counseling CenterRequirements:
High School diploma or GEDTwo years of work experienceGood communication skills (both written and spoken)Commitment to 3 days a week on campus (one day 10am-6pm)Comfort with online platforms, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Spreadsheets, and AdobeCompensation:
$15.61/hour – 20 hours a week
