Our uniquely structured benefits package means little or no cost to the employee. Counselor- F/T, 35 hrs per week, At two of our offices: East Hampton and Riverhead locations. Monday through Friday, flexible hours that include two evening shifts (11:00-7:00) This This position may have the ability to work from home up to two days per week after the introductory period. Needs of the program are prioritized, therefore working from home days may switch week to week. Reporting to the Program Director, provide counseling services to children, teen's and non-offending parents who have experienced power-based violence. This may include domestic violence, family violence, child abuse, child sexual abuse, sexual assault and commercial sexual exploitation of children.Responsibilities include:
  • Provides individual, group or family counseling sessions in person or through telehealth
  • The ability to assess client's appropriately
  • Maintain related statistics and complete case notes accurately
  • Attends agency functions as requested by management
Qualifications:Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field with 2+ years of experience in trauma informed care and experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Must have previous experience working with victims impacted by power-based violence. Must be willing to participate in continuing education to build knowledge in the field.Required Capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Spanish/English bilingual required
  • Great organizational skills
  • Experience with evidence-based modalities that are implementing with trauma survivors.
  • Must be willing to work two evening shifts per work week
  • Hybrid schedule. Subject to change
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to maintain client/agency confidentiality, and treat each individual with dignity and respect
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Other Requirements
  • Must have New York State Driver's License (required) and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
  • Fingerprint clearance required.
