Key Responsibilities:- Provide individual and group counseling focused on mental health and substance use recovery
- Develop personalized treatment plans that promote client growth and healing
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Facilitate therapeutic groups and family conferences to build recovery skills
- Guide clients in examining attitudes and behaviors that support positive change
- Handle crisis situations with professionalism and therapeutic skill
- Collaborate with treatment team members to ensure quality care
- Build positive relationships with clients, referral sources, and colleagues
- Participate in clinical staffing meetings to enhance client care
- Complete clinical documentation according to regulatory standards
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:- Must meet requirements for Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)
- Experience in mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and rehabilitation methods
- Understanding of evidence-based practices in behavioral health
Required License/Certification (one of the following):- Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC)
- Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC)
- Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC)
- Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC)
Additional Qualifications:- Must possess valid driver's license and successful completion of driving record check
- Must pass background check including criminal record and abuse/neglect screening
- Must obtain First Aid certification within three months of employment
- Must obtain CPR certification within three months of employment
- Must complete Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation training within thirty days
- Willingness to become licensed in additional states
- Comfort with providing telehealth services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
