Now Hiring a Full-Time Counselor!We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor or Social Worker to provide emotional, psychological, and social support to residents, families, and team members at Cypress Organization, including Cypress Cove, Cypress at Home, and Cypress Living. This role will involve offering counseling services, facilitating support groups, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for all.Key Responsibilities:Emotional & Social Support:Provide individual and group counseling to residents, families, and team members.Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and psychological needs.Offer end-of-life support, grief counseling, and crisis intervention when necessary.Care Coordination:Visit residents and team members regularly to listen to concerns, provide support, and address emotional well-being.Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.Facilitate support groups and activities that enhance the emotional and mental well-being of residents and team members.Collaboration:Work closely with the healthcare team to integrate emotional and social care into the overall care plan for residents.Participate in care conferences to provide input on residents' and team members' emotional and social needs.Serve as a liaison with external social service agencies and community resources.Education and Advocacy:Educate team members and volunteers about mental health and social support for residents.Develop and implement programs that promote emotional well-being and social growth among residents and team members.Provide training and supervision to volunteers and support staff involved in counseling services.Administration:Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling and social work activities.Prepare and manage the budget for counseling and social services.Participate in community and organizational meetings, contributing to the overall mission and values of the organization.Qualifications:Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or equivalent certification.Minimum of 3 years of experience providing counseling or social work services in a healthcare or senior living setting.Experience working in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) or similar environment is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Proficient in basic computer software, including Internet Software, Spreadsheet Software, and Word Processing Software.What We Offer:Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, life, short- and long-term disability, and vision insurance.Attractive compensation.Opportunities for continuing education and professional development.Tuition reimbursement.Paid vacation.Retirement plan with a 6% company match.Enjoy free daily salad and soup.Milestone gifts to celebrate your achievements.FREE employee clinic sick visits for employees and their immediate family members.FREE telemedicine for family members.Referral bonus opportunities.Cypress Cove is a beautiful 48-acre Life Plan Community, offering senior living at the highest level of independence.
