Employer-paid Employee Assistance Medical, Dental, Vision Voluntary Benefits DUAL DIAGNOSIS COUNSELOR The Dual Diagnosis Counselor is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services, group and individual, to dually diagnosed adults. It is essential to have a thorough knowledge of substance use and mental health disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and related evidence-based assessment tools and treatment. Works collaboratively with the client to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the priority needs of the client, an agreed-upon plan of action, and desired treatment outcomes. Utilizes approved curriculum to facilitate weekly groups and/or provides individual treatment to residents. Conducts group and individual therapeutic interventions. Evaluates and report progress and outcome of treatment services Accurately completes clinical intakes, reports, assessments, service plans, clinical notes, and discharge summaries within required timelines. Participates in mental health on call, based on education/experience. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation. Conducts clinical assessments and administers follow-up assessments. Incorporates the use of evidence-based practices and motivational Interviewing skills. Promotes and demonstrates the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Embrave. Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments, the management team, regulatory agencies and community partners. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE: A Masters Degree in social science or related field. Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) in good standing with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
