Position Details The Drug and Alcohol Counselor will provide individual therapy and group therapy to individuals receiving substance abuse services. Maintain a caseload ensuring individuals are getting the services needed to support sobriety and recovery. Client caseload may include providing services to individuals with dual diagnoses. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology, counseling, addictions studies, social work or related field is required. One year experience in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting is required. Actively working towards a credential through PCB (i.e., CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCS), or be actively working toward licensure or certification. Licensure or certification will need to be achieved within two to three (2 - 3) years of hire, depending on requirements, is required.
