Job Requirements:
- Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preperation, monitoring, and review
- Provide theapeuric interactions to foster patient's social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development
- Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques
- Provide individual, group and family counseling, where appropriate
- Plan and facilitate interactions with patients within the program to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Prepare and maintain accurate and thorough case records
- Maintain relationships with patient referral agencies
- Complete utilization reviews in a timely manner to ensure continuity of care
Candidate Profile:
- Education - Master's Degree in Social work, mental health (MSW, MHC)
- LMSW or LMHC or Limited permit
- Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
- Minimum 2 years in Behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program
