Essential Job Function

Responsible for efficient overall operation of the drop and count room. Manage procedures and department team members to ensure effect and efficient operations.

Assure compliance of State of Maine Gaming Regulations and Oxford Casino Internal Controls for all accounting and cash handling.

Communicate effectively with team members, management and attending departments. Listen and assist with problem solving and resolution.

Ability to organize the team and maintain positive motivation. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Perform administrative duties by way of keeping accurate records of team member and department performance.

Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment. Delegate duties and assign responsibilities.

Maintaining required documentation for count room, maintenance and repair logs for count machine(s), along with purchase orders and requisitions for count room equipment and supplies.

Responsible for reviewing count machine reports for malfunctions or other problems and implementing appropriate maintenance and repair lists.

Development of staff, interviews, hires, and evaluations for the Count Room department. Control and reduce lost time injuries.

The Manager may perform the function and duties of a drop team attendant, such as collection, verification and reconciliation of unverified currency and paperwork in a safe, compliant and timely fashion.

Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe work is of a medium physical requirement. Typically this would consist of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds force constantly to move objects.There is standing for sustained periods of time and pushing, pulling, grasping, stooping, and crouching, reaching, walking, fingering and repetitive motions. A good sense of balance, and able to work in an enclosed room is necessary.The work is inside. The room is subject to temperature change. Dust from paper and money could affect breathing. The room has adequate lighting, heating and air conditioning.
