Unilock, North America's premier manufacturer of concrete paving stones and retaining walls for over 50 years is currently seeking a Counter Sales Representative with forklift experience at our Chester, NY Yard.
This position calls for a bright, motivated Sales Representative who thrives amidst the challenges of a fast-paced environment and possesses an urgency in customer service. You will have the opportunity to bring your energy to a high-performing team, working collaboratively with both our office and yard team members.
What you'll do
* Answering of telephones and satisfying customer requests with a friendly demeanor, and willingness to help at all times
* Support retail customers and contractors with their purchases, via design assistance (calculating square footage required), order entry and any future inquiries that arise
* Retrieve hand-selected product samples from designated sample area and loading into requesting customers vehicles
* Process all, check and credit card transactions and reconcile payments received
* Load and confirm orders for invoice processing and posting
* Perform random tractor-trailer checks to ensure load accuracy before delivery
* Operate an industrial forklift, to assist yard personnel loading trucks SAFELY, promptly and accurately according to shipping documents using an e-tablet
* Participate in and assist with cycle counting throughout the year, as well as yearly full yard counts
What you need to succeed
* Exceptional customer service skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
* Must have sound problem solving skills to effectively handle customer objections and questions
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and basic skills using an e-tablet
* Ability to manage competing priorities, work with strict deadlines, address projects, and work processes
* Must have at least 1 year of forklift experience and ability to pass Unilock licensing test.
* Experience with a 5k -10k pound exterior forklift is a plus
* Ability to read & comprehend all shipping related documents, and perform basic math equations
* Ability to distinguish product colors, color blends, and product bundle configurations
* Requires standing, stooping, reaching, and lifting to 30 lbs.
