What Youll Be Doing

As the Country Manager, you will be responsible for generating sales, from lead acquisition to closing deals, as well as lead a team of 5 (including a service engineer, back-office assistant, part-time finance assistant, and a part-time warehouse specialist). The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced and challenging environment, is hands-on, and has a strong focus on achieving results and expanding market share. You should be a persuasive professional with proven success in implementing effective sales strategies and have a results-driven mindset. By leveraging both technical and business expertise, you will manage all sales aspects with top-notch professionalism, fostering long-lasting relationships with new customers while nurturing existing client relationships

Main Tasks

  • Assess and evaluate current activities to develop initiatives aimed at enhancing the performance of the existing sales pipeline (including distributors) while planning for expansion and growth.
  • Contribute to building brand awareness, and positioning the company as an innovative, capable, and reliable partner.
  • Help foster a culture of brand advocacy (internally and externally) that is understood and valued by colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • Provide insights to the team by investigating, researching, and developing initiatives to grow both new and existing products and customers.
  • Oversee partner sales, direct sales, laboratory/test equipment, and leads generated from Europe.
  • Collaborate with other leaders, teams, and advisors to develop competitor market intelligence, contributing to strategic product development planning

What We Expect from You

Your Work Experience & Education

  • Bachelor level in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Engineering, or similar
  • 7+ years working experience in business development, team leadership, machinery sales, or similar role in the agriculture and/or capital equipment industry
  • Experience within a highly competitive sector within the complex machinery industry
  • Experience working with and/or for a European company is a plus.
  • Ability to combine technical elements with business needs and business requirements of clients
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is desirable but not required
