  • The County Administrative Assistant I performs administrative and secretarial duties in support of agency management; provides routine and specializes administrative support. Must have a valid driver's license. Assigned work hours are 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
  • Presents positive image which supports agency actions and mission at all times; provides professional customer service to clients served by the agency.
  • Types materials in support of agency management; insures that format, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are correct; submits final copies to other office personnel or agencies as directed.
  • Receives telephone calls; screens and refers then appropriately; personally solves programmatic/procedural problems that require substantial knowledge.
  • Screens and sorts incoming and outgoing correspondence for agency management, forwards reminders to appropriate staff.
  • Receives requests for statistical or program information; advises requester when material can be furnished; assembles information or identifies appropriate person to complete requests.
  • Maintains control of correspondence, reports, case files, and documents through reminder systems; maintains, modifies, and develops filing systems.
  • Maintains calendars. Briefs supervisor on matters prior to meetings; assembles information for supervisor prior to meetings.
  • Gathers materials from variety of sources; prepares reports from materials gathered, links materials, and exercises judgment in selection of items to be included.
  • Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
  • Performs related duties as required. Provides clerical support for human services staff.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A High School Diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
