JOB SUMMARY:
This position requires frequent night meetings, some weekend work, and attendance at out-of-county meetings, driver's license and a personal vehicle for official duty travel. Reimbursement for approved official travel expenses will be provided according to FVSU travel policy and guidelines. Work with all Agriculture and Natural Resources Specialists to coordinate and implement county-based programs. Support all areas and components of the Cooperative Extension Program. Work in harmony with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension County Staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide county programming for Cooperative Extension Program small/family farm program efforts through Agriculture and Natural Resources.
* Responsible for managing ANR county-based programs in multi-counties through FVSU Cooperative Extension coverage area by providing educational programs for small, limited resource, and other underserved farmers and landowners.
* Plan, conduct and evaluate an effective Cooperative Extension Program based on expressed needs of the target audience and program requirements.
* Targets specific audiences for educational programs addressing critical issues identified in plan of work.
* Develop farm plans, cash flow statements and provide record analysis of selected enterprises.
* Make recommendations using economic analysis and sound agricultural practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field (farm background and/or experience helpful).
* Demonstrated interest in working with small family farms, socially disadvantaged audiences, other USDA agencies, and community organizations.
* Experience and knowledge in computer usage required.
* Ability to compile, complete and submit timely report.
* Proficiency in oral and written communication required.
* Demonstrated ability to work with people, and work as a team member, utilize a wide variety of teaching methods and respond positively to policy, administration, and other program guidelines.
