DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn the role of Fiscal Officer 1, you will perform concentrated duties in one or more areas of the agency. Responsibilities will include verifying and recording accounts receivable and payables, preparing monthly closing entries, fiscal records, reports on income and expenditures, and maintaining, accounting and balancing daily petty cash account. You will have the opportunity to perform related fiscal duties; prepare payroll records, e.g. gross pay, deductions and net pay; input data to computer, prepare employee benefit reports and check requests for quarterly reimbursements; enter new accounts to system and update related reports; reconcile bank accounts and computer contract system to general ledger. Additional duties to include but not limited to: Completing cost studies and special fiscal reports as requested by the Administrator. Assisting in the preparation of proposals for new funding. Developing fiscal/annual budget forecasting, indirect cost allocation plans and performing daily preparation and monthly monitoring of the receipts and expenditures of the Administrator's Office. Reviewing and monitoring program-funded and fee-for-service provider agencies, and billing the appropriate governmental jurisdiction for funds. Providing technical assistance to provider agencies. Assisting and reviewing work that is completed by Contracted Fiscal Consultant. Must be able to work and use different accounting software/programs (Ex. Acumatica & CPR-Web which are web based programs.)Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting;or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting;or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting;or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement.
