Under the direct supervision of the Employee pharmacy pharmacist, accurately operates the cash register for collection of cash and charges on prescriptions. Must reconcile/record monies, trouble shoot register problems. Accurately and efficiently place prescriptions ready for sale/pickup into the hanging bag system. Accurately perform prescription intake process. Request updated patient contact information and allergies when Pioneer RX system indicates. Maintains a clean, orderly work station. Refers complaints and issues to Pharmacist for resolution. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Assist the pharmacist in all duties related to the delivery and distribution of medications. Delivers medications to patient care areas or run other errands as needed.
