Job DetailsJob LocationDarlington Facility - Darlington, SCDescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION: This position provides professional courier service for the Darlington Facility. This position is responsible for paying close attention to detail. The employee must be able to effectively communicate with employees and managers and ensure company goals and quality standards are met on a continual basis. Must properly adhere to company policies and comply with required standards for work orders and labor laws within the department on a continual basis from one delivery to the next.Note: Management reserves the right to modify or revise this job description as changes may occur. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but not limited to:
- Work directly with other employees to make sure that various items are picked up and delivered to the appropriate location in a timely manner
- Pick up and deliver packages and documents to designated locations within a timely manner
- Obtain signatures and payments from recipients, when necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and records
- Ensure the safe and secure transport of all deliveries
- Communicate any delivery issues or concerns to the appropriate parties
- Understanding and knowledge of our products and services
- Knowledge of the warehouse and inventory
- Able to help in other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
QualificationsSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Must have a current and valid driver's license and cannot be classified as a high risk driver under our Company policies.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Forklift experience preferred
- Previous hauling experience required
- Knowledge & experience withdifferent trailer hitches &flatbeds
- Prior experience as a courier or delivery driver preferred
- Self-motivated
- Effectively work by priority list
- Must be located, or willing to relocate, within 50 miles of Florence, SC
- Independent thinker with a team-oriented attitude and approach
