This position provides for the transportation of materials, including lab specimens, waste, supplies, mail, x-ray films, pharmaceuticals, and medical records/reports throughout the Health System and beyond. This position also provides the transportation of patients to the Oncology Center and back to their originating point, mainly outlying areas such as Alma, Houghton Lake, Harrison, Gladwin and Clare. Responsibilities (40%) - Transports lab specimens throughout the Health System while maintaining specimen integrity for accurate test results. (30%) - Transports the following throughout My. Michigan member hospitals, surrounding clinics and Urgent Care locations: supplies, biohazard materials, medical records, reports, office deposits, mail, copies, pharmaceuticals, physician jackets, instrument totes, and Oncology Center patients. This includes regular and unscheduled stat runs.
