This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Nation Government is accepting applications for a part-time Wyandotte Nation Court Bailiff. Successful candidates will maintain order and provide security during court proceedings. Along with guarding juries and enforcing the rules of the courts, bailiffs open court by announcing the judges\' arrival and close court by announcing the judges\' departure. They may call witnesses to the stand and present the oath before witnesses take it. Court bailiffs may also provide administrative support to judges and jurors, stock courtroom supplies, deliver court documents, and take custody of offenders. Must have high school diploma/GED certificate, plus qualified experience in law enforcement. Must be BIA or C.L.E.E.T. certified or eligible for reciprocity and qualify for BIA Cross-Commission. Must pass a background check, physical, and drug testing and maintain a valid driver\'s license.
