The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks. The Department of Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate need for a Court Designated Specialist. This position is in Harlan County. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Complete the tasks outlined by the Executive Officer. Serve a multiple county district within a region and work referrals from Court Designated Workers within approved timelines. Participate in case teaming with other specialists, program coordinators, supervisors, counseling agencies and local providers and others, as appropriate. Demonstrate high levels of community and family engagement and strength-based skills. Be expected to take part in professional development opportunities to be up to date on child welfare trends and family law collaborations with the courts.
