Job DetailsJob LocationMission Services Santa Cruz - Watsonville, CASalary Range$30.00 - $35.50 HourlyDescriptionJOB SUMMARY: Support assessments, case plans, and placement to determine eligibility and coordination services under the day-to-day supervision of the Collaborative Court Manager and Director of Mission Services for Mental Health Diversion. Services may be in-person, web based or remote via technology such as telephone, face time, Zoom, email, and other technological methods to adhere to social distancing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Conduct screenings to determine an individual's eligibility for the Coordinated Access for Empowering Success (CAFES) program.
- Facilitate and expedite evaluations and placements in the local Courts.
- Conduct research-based needs assessments, including for substance use disorder, to support Mental Health Diversion case plan development.
- Facilitate connection to clinical assessments for potential Mental Health Diversion for participants.
- Conduct program orientation and case management with new participants, assists participants with questions and concerns about the program.
- Promote and inform partners of the project resources and eligibility criteria.
- Develop case plans to support Mental Health Diversion participation.
- Coordinate services and client linkage to resources and community connections to support case management and completion of established goals/case plans.
- Prepares and conducts presentations to judges, criminal justice partners, and policymakers regarding program outcomes and program data.
- Attends meetings and Court appearances as needed.
- Maintains data collection system for grant reporting, including working with the Connector Team.
- Generates and distributes case management status reports to the Treatment Team.
- Generates and distributes court case plans for participants.
- Assists in the preparation of grant reports and accounts for expenditure of funds.
- Maintain close contact with referring agents and facilitate communication regarding participant progress. Work in cooperation with training providers' and other ensures relevant information is shared with Court partners.
- Comply, based on role, with required Board of State and Community Corrections, Local Evaluation Plan data collection needs.
QualificationsJOB SPECIFICATIONSEDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in behavioral science orrelated field, or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQ'D: Valid California Class C driver's license.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three years' experience working with the justice-involved population and/or working in coordination with courts, probation/parole.KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Understanding of barriers faced by justice-involved participants.Familiarity with Goodwill's mission, general Company policies and procedures (this may be learned on-the-job).Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in computer technology, including advanced recordkeeping software, state-of-the- art internet job search techniques, and software programs.EQUIPMENT USED: Typical office equipment; vehicles.SKILLS/APTITUDES/TEMPERAMENTS:Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. This requires a good driving record and may require the ability to provide evidence of personal vehicle liability insurance.Ability to adhere to safe work practices as documented in Company policies; ability to report safety hazards/accidents promptly to supervisor or safety committee member.EMOTIONAL EFFORT:The job requires some emotional effort involving occasional short deadlines requiring little or no overtime. Work environment is routine with periods of isolated high activity/demand.JOB SETTINGThe job is performed in an enclosed, climatically controlled office building. This may vary some when visiting other employer/industry sites. Work is completed independently, one- on-one with the client and in a group setting with clients, client/employer meetings and in cooperation with other staff and referring agents.Adaptations for Provision of ServicesDepending on social distancing guidelines, shelter-in-place orders, and access to technology; services may be delivered in-person or virtual. The Contractor will adhere to all local and state regulations regarding social distancing, face covering, testing and contact tracing or others as applicable. The Contractor will provide services as proposed, with any necessary adaptations such as using telecommunication in place of in-person meetings.
