Serves as a liaison between the agency and court systems, primarily chancery courts responsible for mental health and A&D commitments. Meets with court personnel in each county no less than one time per month. 2. Provides coordination to individuals in need of mental health services and appropriate linkage to agency services. 3. Assists CCS in the goal of reducing the rate of commitment to state institutions in an effort to keep individuals in the community with the appropriate level of supports. 4. Meets with families to provide education about the commitment process, as well as, the availability of community based alternatives. 5. Organizes/offers family members of individuals involved with the court system related to mental health issues the opportunity to connect with one another to offer support/learn from one another's experiences. 6. Works closely with Mobile Emergency Crisis Response Teams (M-CeRT), Intensive Community Outreach Recovery Teams (I-CORT), Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), PACH/Recovery House (A&D Residential), and outpatient offices to ensure individuals are linked with the appropriate level of care. 7. Serves as a member of the M-CeRT team and provides services as needed/directed. 8. Actively participates in MAP teams throughout the region. 9. Completes all required documentation within agency timelines. Maintains case record documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete, and timely. 10. Maintains consumer confidentiality at all times. 11. Demonstrates appropriate interactions with coworkers that promote a pleasant work environment. 12. Participates in interagency collaboration for the provision of client services when assigned. 13. Serves as lead or back-up emergency on-call person when requested to do so. (annually at a minimum) 14. Completes additional duties assigned. Key Responsibilities ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Requires DMH certification within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment. Requires excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Requires satisfactory completion of CPR prior to reporting to the work site. Requires satisfactory completion of CPI within 30 days of employment. Requires valid driver's license and auto liability insurance. Requires ability to transport clients in private vehicle when necessary. Requires completion of annual training in compliance with DMH standards. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a mental health setting strongly preferred. Previous experience working with an SMI/SED or DD population in a treatment setting strongly preferred. Working knowledge of the DSM. Minimum Education Masters Minimum Requirements Master's degree in behavioral science or related field. Licensure/Certification Clinical licensure or eligible for certification through the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. Applications Close Date
