Objective of the Job: This position is an entry level industrial mechanic, responsible for inspection and lubrication of equipment in the Coating Lines at Big River S teel. Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and where applicable ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed. 2) Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in job area. 3) Completion of scheduled maintenance PM inspections and lubrication work or ders. 4) Assist with the development of Mechanical Maintenance documentation for the Coating Lines in MMS (Guide Ti). 5) Assist with the development and input of Mechanical PMs in Guide Ti. 6) Assist with the development of Task Specific Mechanical work order proce dures in Guide Ti. 7) Assist with Monthly and Annual Outage lock out activities, including audits of Energy Control Documents. 8) Assist with post outage line clean up effo rts and removal of all spare parts. Assist with tagging accordingly the parts that will be refurbished. 9) Assist operational personnel as needed for operational tasks that are needed to successfully support pro duction. 10) Work directly with all electrical, mechanical, and operations personnel in a fast paced environment to help develop a safety focused and productive team. 11) Support maintenance teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability. Qualifications: 1) Reliable team player with good communication skills. 2) Highly Motivated, self directed , and willing to put in extra hours when 3) Willingness to learn about Mechanical blueprints, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. 4) Willingness to learn about proper rigging equipment and LOTO systems. 5) Mechanically inclined with willingness to learn new skills. 6) High School diploma or Technical Degree Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Environment is typical for a Steel Mill Production Area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically demanding work will be requir ed in the production environment. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, however additional hours in a week will most likely be required.
