Primary responsibilities include providing daily research and support to a supervisory attorney including maintaining and organizing the calendar, appealing property values, and data entry. Candidates should be organized, motivated, a self-starter, able to multitask, work well with others, have a strong work ethic, able to communicate with co-workers as well as with clients, by telephone, e-mail and letter, and be professional in appearance and demeanor.Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Providing daily support to supervisor
- Heavy research
- Department billing
- Tracking appeal deadlines
- Appealing property values, which include gathering and entering property values and tax rates into the database
- Preparing paperwork for appeal (i.e., form, cover letter, etc.)
- Coordinating hearings internally and working with various local officials to coordinate hearings all over the nation
- Reporting personal property tax values to various local governments, which includes filing the personal property rendition
- Managing our database of electronic client files
- Generating client reports as requested
- Answering and routing incoming phone calls
- Processing mail and incoming correspondence
- Appearance conscious
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Science or Business & Management preferred) - Candidates that do not currently hold a Bachelor's degree will not be considered for this position
- Two years of office experience
- Minimum Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
