Will operate a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. They will receive direction from riggers and/or site supervision via verbal or hand signals to determine required load movement.Responsibilities:Maintain a safe and productive crane, including performing routine maintenanceInspect work sites to ensure safety of workersSupport structures operations, including but not limited to, forming substructure, setting steel and concrete girders, and placing reinforced concrete decksCheck radius and set up of crane before operations beginProvide Input on lift plans and means and methodsWork closely with foreman on issues of safety and toolbox talksMaintain daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inspections and be responsible for basic maintenance of crane and rigging associated with operations.Notify appropriate chain of command of any defaults with crane or rigging.Performs other duties as assignedRequirementsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredFive (5) years of verifiable experience operating cranes3-5 years' experience in Heavy Civil Projects and Pile DrivingPrior experience leading crews is strongly preferredMust have prior experience in rigging and signaling and bridge operationsExperience operating additional equipment is strongly preferredPrefer OCONUS experience operating equipment in an environment with military services, commercial agencies, and host nation elementsAdditional experience and education requirements may vary by assignment.Core Attributes:Grit and Resiliency – Digs deep to figure out how to make things happen no matter how impossible it seems.
