Creative Director - Packaging Design for Consumer Electronics, Core Brands

The FESCO Group (www.thefescogroup.com) is a leading manufacturer, distributor and wholesaler of consumer electronics products. We are aggressively looking for a highly creative Art Director to lead a second team of packaging designers in support of several of our most profitable brands (like COBY, Car & Driver and ChargeWorx).

We need an accomplished, hands-on Creative Director who can get things done, on-time and on-budget.... who is also an experienced packaging designer who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and loves the challenge of discovering what drives consumer decision making and purchasing behaviors.

Our successful candidate will look to consistently create distinctive and eye-catching physical packaging, that helps sell our products on the shelves of major national retail chains in North America.

You would be part of an amazing, very entrepreneurial team, that fosters effective collaboration and partnership with all of our key internal constituencies: Sales, Product Development & Sourcing, and Brand Management.

THIS IS A FULLY ON-SITE ROLE WITHIN OUR HEADQUARTERS IN BROOKLYN NEW YORK.

What you need to be successful:

• Proven professional experience working as an inhouse Art / Creative Director within a consumer products company.
• 5+ years of physical packaging experience (preferably within the field of consumer electronics)
• Experience managing a group of packaging designers
• A strong portfolio which includes creative packaging design work for consumer electronics
• Hands-on experience with logo design, die lines, typography, color, print production, image selection, and complex package design
• Proficient knowledge and use of Adobe's Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Great knowledge of latest packaging trends and related software
