Herman Miller Brand is looking for a Project Manager to join the Marketing & Creative Operations team. This person will be responsible for leading and managing the process and development for projects and creative deliverables for Herman Miller Brand and Contract team. This role will be primarily responsible for project management of all creative deliverables, including Product Launches, Brand Marketing Campaigns, In-Person Activations, B2B sales tools, Digital Projects and Social Media content. They will be the central point of contact, ensuring all milestones within a project are met, and that all teams are aligned by providing clear and concise planning and communication in order to achieve successful executions. The ability to work independently while adjusting and adapting management styles and techniques to the uniqueness of each project is essential to success in this role.

About This Opportunity:

  • Manages product launch execution milestones from inception to completion.
  • Serves as the liaison between Herman Miller Brand creatives and the Herman Miller Brand and Contract Marketing teams.
  • Creates project plans, directs and executes project activities, and monitors and control risk.
  • Ensures projects have required documentation such as detailed market launch plans and marketing and creative briefs to translate requirements into solutions.
  • Serves as a brand advocate to ensure brand standards are being met for a consistent brand experience among all marketing and communication channels internationally.
  • Has a high degree of cultural sensitivity and experience working with teams across the globe.
  • Creates and refines Wrike project plans for all creative deliverables (messaging, asset development, brochures, social, email, campaigns, sales tools, translations, etc.) in partnership with Marketing and various Creative team members, ensuring the most efficient execution plans are in place.
  • Partners with Media Production including the support of location and studio shoots.
  • Manages the asset (photography/renderings/video) development process including reviews, approvals, usage rights form completion, and uploading to the asset management system.
  • Partners with marketing leads in developing project budget strategies, communicating project estimates, and processing invoices.
  • Develops timelines and manages orderly flow of creative projects from initial scoping and development to delivery and production of final deliverables.
  • Proactively and consistently conceives of process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity across Marketing & Creative Operations as well as cross-functional teams.
  • Ensures projects are routed for proper approval and all signoffs are recorded. Records and saves final creative/deliverables.
  • Aligns with post-production team on project timelines and ensures budgets are met, working to problem-solve as necessary, and ensures that deliverables meet project due dates.
  • Manages the overall blueprints for all creative deliverable projects in Wrike (HM project management tool), updating and evolving as needs and processes shift.
  • Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses, and updates to various team members ranging from junior to Executive level, always tailoring communication and bringing solutions/opportunities.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed to support Marketing and Creative teams.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to lead through influence and relationship-building.

  • Developing capability working with ambiguity, creating definition, and crafting coherent creative project plans.

  • Ability to work well under pressure managing multiple, competing priorities and the ability to remain flexible.

  • Comfort in working with clients from across MillerKnoll brand's various internal and international teams.

  • Strong proficiency in continuous improvement and process management.

  • Proficiency in various creative project management tools and applications (e.g., Teams, Wrike, AirTable, Figma, Bynder, etc.) a plus

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 5 years of Creative Operations experience, with Project Management at the forefront

  • Digital-first perspective with a solid understanding of eCommerce best practices and drive to test new formats of digital marketing

  • Solid communication skills - You will have extensive correspondence that relies on you being conversant in brand guidelines and terminology related to the home furnishings industry

  • Strong leader with an ability to hold others accountable

  • Proactive, self-starter mindset, has relentless optimism
