DescriptionCreative Video SpecialistFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports to Film DirectorGrade III ($19.30 - $30.30 Based on experience and qualification)SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direction of the Art Director and Film Director, the Creative Video Specialist produces testimony and ministry promotional videos, social media content, and various photo and video projects to promote the mission of NewSpring Church. The Creative Video Specialist accomplishes the assigned duties of the Film Director in the event of absence.The incumbent must perform all job duties as outlined in this job description to support the ongoing mission of the church while committed in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 edition). ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Collaborates with various ministries to determine filming project goals. Conceptualizes creative visual directions for video projects assigned. Assists creative team with storyboarding, planning, writing, lighting, filming and editing for video projects maintaining consistency with NewSpring quality standards. Performs the assigned duties of the Film Director whenever absent. (app. 25%)
- Sets up for, films, and edits baptism testimonies adhering to established style and visual consistency. (app. 30%)
- Captures high-quality photos and B-roll at select services and special events. Contributes to Creative Team project goals and timelines. (app. 15%)
- Assists in assembly of NewSpring's weekly television broadcast. (app. 10%)
- Edits together various video projects, including weekly announcement videos. (app. 10%)
- Assists in the maintenance and organization of the creative team studio and equipment. (app. 10%)
These duties are subject to change as church needs and strategies evolve. Employee may be required to perform other duties.RequirementsEDUCATION/TRAINING• College degree with specialization in media is required.• Experience considered in lieu of education.EXPERIENCE• One to three years of experience in video and audio production and editing.REQUIRED SKILL• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.). • Has a working understanding of the video-editing process.• Ability to use cinematic cameras and lenses.• Ability to use DSLR and/or mirrorless cameras.• Ability to light indoor and outdoor sets.• A strong portfolio demonstrating a creative eye for video production set design.• Ability to meet deadlines.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position works primarily indoors. Occasional outdoor work is required.
