Credentialing AssistantThe Credentialing department is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process, Facilitating all aspects of credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, expirations, as well as clinical privileges for Medical Staff providers, including Insurance Payers with whom we have contracts Qualifications and Education Requirements:The key responsibilities of the Credentialing Assistant include:
- Work closely with group providers to obtain documents for enrollment
- Respond to internal and external inquiries on enrollment statuses
- Maintain provider documents, licenses, directories, files, and enrollments in all applicable locations
- Track provider license, certification, DEA and professional liability expiration dates to ensure timely renewals
Preferred Skills:
- At least 2 years experience in a medical office or credentialing/provider enrollment setting
- Experience using credentialing software (CredentialStream, Symplr, MDApp)
- Ability to meet scheduled deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and accurate work results.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.
- Accomplish responsibilities accurately and expeditiously.
- Ability to multitask and deal with complexity frequently.
- Flexible, team player.
- Knowledge of CAQH and NPPES.
- Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets - REQUIRED
