Job Description:
Position SummaryThis position assists with managing credit operations.This position participates in the management of the bank's risk and provides reports and analyses evaluating the bank's portfolio makeup. Participates in planning sessions to determine future strategic initiatives as they relate to credit and risk administration and mentors personnel in relevant procedures.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure that loan policy guidelines are being followed and are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Report exceptions to loan policy to executive management.
  • Maintain and improve current software relevant to scope of Credit Administration.
  • Maintain the required level of knowledge and procedural expertise of policies, guidelines, and programs to assist lending and bank management technical issues.
  • Recommend updates to the loan policy to keep it current in a growth environment.
  • Communicate new policies and procedures, and changes in procedures to staff to ensure effective implementation of the institution's strategic initiatives.
  • Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
  • Maintains current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable.
  • Demonstrates a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Course of study in Business, Finance, or Accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of credit analysis or equivalent credit experience
  • Preferred experience of managing others.
Skills and Abilities Required
  • Job Knowledge/Technical Knowledge: Finance, Accounting, Computer (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, financial software), Printer, Copier, Scanner.
  • Must have a strong attention to details, be organized and accurate and be able to exercise good judgment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate on all levels.
