Job Description:
Purpose: The Credit Analyst III is responsible for applying a high-level understanding and knowledge of commercial credit analysis in supporting the Bank's Commercial Lending staff with more complex lending deals. The Credit Analyst III is also responsible for providing guidance to other Credit Analysts while supporting Management with Department expectations.Essential Functions:Conduct thorough credit assessments of individuals and businesses, utilizing financial statements, credit reports, and market analysis.Prepare comprehensive credit analysis reports that summarize findings and provide actionable insights.Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and recommend terms and conditions for credit approvals.Monitor existing loan portfolios, identifying trends and potential risks, and reporting findings to management.Collaborate with relationship managers and other stakeholders to ensure informed decision-making in the lending process.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors that may impact credit risk.Develop and maintain credit risk models and scoring systems to enhance credit assessment processes.Mentor and train junior analysts, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies in credit analysis.Job Related Qualifications:Required:Education: Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.Prior Experience: 4 years of experience in commercial credit analysis.Competencies:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as credit assessment software.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to various stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Physical Requirements:Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.Extensive computer usage is required.Ability to work:Evenings OccasionallyWeekends OccasionallyBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceHealth Savings AccountFlexible Spending Account(s)Company Paid Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, and Short Term DisabilityVoluntary Offerings: Life, Critical Illness/Specified Disease, Accident, Hospital Indemnity & Personal AccidentTuition ReimbursementEmployee Referral ProgramWellness Reimbursement ProgramStar Volunteer ProgramEmployee Banking and Financial PerksPaid Time Off (PTO)Company Paid HolidaysThis job description is not exhaustive.
