Job Description:

Role: Counterparty Credit Analyst

Location: Tri-State Area/Rhode Island (Hybrid)

Duration: 4 months (possibility for extension/perm)

Pay Rate: Up to $45/hr W2 (Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, LTD Insurance)

We are seeking a Counterparty Credit Analyst to join the Counterparty Credit team at a leading financial institution. This position is ideal for someone looking to work on high-impact projects, with the potential to transition to a permanent role after a contract period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit ratings, experience in credit derivatives, and be eager to contribute to special projects and stress testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Counterparty Credit team on special projects, including in-depth analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights.
  • Run stress testing once systems and processes are established, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the models.
  • Collaborate on credit analytics and risk management initiatives to support business growth.
  • Prepare detailed reports on credit exposures, risk assessments, and credit ratings.
  • Assist in building and refining models to evaluate counterparty risk, particularly within the credit derivatives space.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure all credit risks are effectively monitored and managed.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in credit analysis, with a focus on counterparty credit risk.
  • Experience in credit ratings and credit derivatives is a strong advantage.
  • CFA designation or progress toward obtaining the CFA.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to senior management.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
  • Based in the tri-state area or Rhode Island.
